P52 - Week10 - Texture

Originally, I had something completely different in mind. In fact, I had several different "somethings" in mind. But time got away from me and my first attempts didn't turn out quite like I had planned.

So what's a girl to do?

I decided upon this approach:

Instead of an image of something displaying a certain texture, I decided to add texture to an image.

In this image I have actually added a couple of different textures. I really love this photo of my soccer star. Here's the original (though with a different crop):

But while I truly love this image as it came out of the camera, I think in this case the texture (& processing) give it a completely different feel. I couldn't be happier with this result and it looks even better printed and hanging in my office.

Thanks Kim! We have had 3 staffies since we got married. Right now we have an Olde English Bulldogge, but I miss that staffy smile! Such good dogs. Thanks for dropping by.

About This Blog

I'm a proud mom of a very active little boy. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to document the many milestones throughout his life so far. These moments are precious to me. So I grabbed a camera and snapped away. I dabbled a bit in scrapbooking and took some time to learn at least the basics of photography. After all, kids grow so fast and you can't turn back the time.

But as he got old enough for school and team sports, I was so very disappointed in the offerings out there. I'm proud of my All Star in every thing he pours his heart into!

So I picked up a copy of Photoshop and tried my best to create momentos to capture these memories.

I'd love a chance to help you stop time for a moment as well.
